• Open to all countries
• Winner is chosen randomly
• Deadline April 12, 2024, 11:59 pm ET (New York time)
• Winner announced April 14, 2024
• Mediums accepted:  watercolor, watercolor pencils, gouache, water soluble graphite, water soluble inks, and mixed media as long as it includes watercolor
• If you also post your painting on Instagram, tag @watercolorbeginnersandbeyond.   You could be randomly chosen for a QoR watercolor sample dot card.

 

Here is a simple chick painting.   Outline, reference photo and progress photos by Sue Bradley.

Pencil outline.  A little masking fluid for the eye highlight (or you can use white gel pen or ink)

Colours:  lemon yellow, transparent orange (or cad orange), burnt sienna, Burnt umber, indigo and cobalt blue

 

 

 

Erase pencil lines around the chick if you want.
