We recently had a challenge to do a continuous line portrait of a person.  This week’s challenge is to do a continuous line pet portrait.   Keep your pen on the paper to do the complete drawing.  When you lift your pen, the drawing is done!   Then add watercolor.

• Draw a continuous line pet portrait, then paint with watercolor or gouache

• Include topic hashtag in your Facebook post:  #PetPortrait
• You may enter as often as you want
• Open to all countries
• Winner is chosen randomly
• Deadline June 14, 2024, 11:59 pm ET (New York time)
• Winner announced June 16, 2024
• Mediums accepted:  watercolor, watercolor pencils, gouache, water soluble graphite, water soluble inks, and mixed media as long as it includes watercolor
• If you also post your painting on Instagram, tag @watercolorbeginnersandbeyond.   You could be randomly chosen for a QoR watercolor sample dot card.

The instructions are simple:

1. Use a pen to draw one continuous line of a pet (dog, cat, bird, whatever pet you want to draw)
2. Do not lift your pen from the paper.  When you do, the drawing is done!
3. Add some color with watercolor
4. You are done!

Here is one I did of my sweet kitty, Cucumber.   She always tries to chew on my paint brushes.   I had to add a dark background to cover up the enormous ear I gave her.  Haha!
