In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, let’s spread awareness and fill the group with pink ribbons to honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and support those currently fighting.  ❤️

Painting challenge:  Pink Ribbon

Include the hashtag #pinkribbon2023 in your Watercolor – Beginners and Beyond Facebook group post.

Deadline October 20, 11:59 pm ET    

Here are the details:

  • Paint a pink ribbon
  • Entries must be posted in the Facebook group: Watercolor – Beginners and Beyond
  • Include topic hashtag in your Facebook post:  #pinkribbon2023
  • You may enter as often as you want
  • Open to all countries
  • Winner is chosen randomly
  • Deadline October 20, 2023, 11:59 pm ET (New York time)
  • Winner announced October 22, 2023
  • Mediums accepted:  watercolor, watercolor pencils, gouache, water soluble graphite, water soluble inks, and mixed media as long as it includes watercolor
  • If you also post your painting on Instagram, tag @watercolorbeginnersandbeyond.   You could be randomly chosen for a QoR watercolor sample dot card.

 

This is very personal to me.  My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was only 42.  Fortunately with early detection and surgery, she survived it.  My best friend had breast cancer, and is cancer-free 11 years later.  I have other close friends currently going through treatment.  We all know someone who has been impacted.   Let’s show our love and support.  

Early detection is so important.   I urge every woman to keep up with mammograms.
