Watercolor Challenge: Poppies

This week, let’s fill the group with poppies in honor of Remembrance Day.  Observed on November 11th, marks the end of World War I.  Poppies became the symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields of World War I and were immortalized in the poem “In Flanders Fields.” Around the world, this day is known by different names: Remembrance Day, Veterans Day, Armistice Day. No matter the name, the message is the same: we remember.

  • Share your paintings of Poppies
