Snow globes are easier to do than you think.  This took 5 minutes.

  • Paint a rim of a cup, glass, or lid with a blue color.
  • Place it on paper and lift.
  • Take a damp brush and smear the paint ring inside the circle.  Add more of the blue color, leave some of the circle white for the glass reflection.  Let it dry.   I used a hair dryer to speed it up.
  • Add some trees, or anything you want.
  • Add a base.   (I used burnt sienna and paynes gray for this one) Let it dry.
  • Add a little shadow under the base (I used paynes gray).
  • Splatter with white gouache/ink if you want extra snow.   It’s done!
