I have never been to Italy. I hope to go there one day.

Our challenge this week is to paint scenes of Venice, Italy.

I recently bought a Gondolas in Venice Step-by-Step online course by Michael Solovyev, Watercolor Online.

I am so glad I bought this course. Michael’s instructions took me step by step, not just instructing me what to do, but how and why. And he shared some very valuable tips throughout the video. I learned so much from this course!

Within a few days after I uploaded my painting, he sent me a video critique with ideas of what to do next time. It helped me so much! I highly recommend his online courses. One day I hope to attend one of his in-person workshops.

Yes, I did this painting! I think it is one of the best I have ever done. I love how loose and suggestive I painted the city in the background. No real details, but you know it’s Venice. It is difficult for me to be that loose. And I did it!
