It’s full summer here in Houston, the kind where the heat wraps around you the moment you step outside. Sometimes the only relief is a juicy slice of watermelon — cold, bright, and dripping down your wrist. Watermelon is a perfect subject: Bold shapes that are easy for beginners, Gorgeous reds that let you play with saturation, Fun textures — the seeds, the rind, the shine, and that summer feeling you can capture with just a few strokes.
