Digital Art – Procreate for Beginners with Ksenia Annis

Developing the initial study for your artwork can be easier using digital art.  

My art journey began on my iPad.  My goal was to learn Procreate, but it looked too complex to me.  I am so excited that Ksenia Annis, our long-time sponsor, is conducting a live class — Procreate for Beginners.

When is the live class?  

• November 10 and 11 (Thu & Fri), 2 pm – 4 pm Central Time via Zoom
• When you enroll, you will receive the Zoom link via email

What will I learn?

• study Procreate’s workspace and tools
• learn how to use and modify reference photos
• discover how to pick colors and create harmonious color palettes
• each 2-hour session will include a series of demonstrations followed by a practice period with Ksenia available to answer questions

How can I enroll?  

It’s limited to 30 students, and I’m one of them!  Procreate is a powerful tool, and I’m looking forward to learning how to use it!

Will the class be recorded?

Yes, and available for lifetime access on her website.

• Sketching is an important exercise that improves your hand-eye coordination and makes you a better artist.
• Developing the initial sketches and refining the composition on an iPad will save you lots of paper. (love the “undo” button!  There’s no “un-do” on paper.  lol)
• Procreate has several tools for creating color palettes, you can quickly try them and pick the best for your idea.
• An iPad is more portable for outdoor or on-location sketching, you don’t have to bring a bag of art supplies; it also allows you to spend time creatively while waiting in line or flying somewhere.
• Digital art is easy to share, just click a button and send to friends or share on social media; no more waiting for good light to take a photo of a finished piece.
